🧱 PHASE 2: AWARENESS
Mapping the Emotional Wall with Compassion and Courage

✨ Overview
“Search me, O God, and know my heart…” —Psalm 139:23
In Phase 2 of the P.A.T.H. Through the Wall, we turn toward the emotions, wounds, and doubts we’ve often tried to pray away, power through, or suppress. This phase helps you name the emotional wall for what it is—without shame.

You’ll gently explore the internal blocks that keep you stuck, disconnected, or spiritually numb. And you’ll do it with God’s mercy as your covering, not condemnation.

🧩 What You'll Experience

This phase is where many people find the real turning point in their healing. You’ll be guided to:

    • Recognize “wall moments”: burnout, disillusionment, grief, anger, dryness, fear
    • Explore your emotional world with grace and curiosity
    • Identify the inner voices (e.g., the doubter, protector, child) that speak during pain
    • Reflect on emotional patterns and past pain with honesty and gentleness

🔧 Tools and Practices

This phase combines parts work, narrative reflection, and Scripture as emotional mirror, inviting you to become aware of what’s hurting—so you can heal.

🌿 Featured Practices:
    • Naming Your Wall
Journaling prompts to help you identify and describe your personal “emotional wall”
    • Parts Work with a Faith Lens
Learn how different parts of you (protector, wounded child, inner critic) show up in pain
→ Adapted from Internal Family Systems (IFS)
    • Scripture as Mirror
Guided exploration of Psalms, Lamentations, and Job to reflect your emotional truth
❤️ Featured Exercise: Healing the Ledger
Adapted from PAIRS®, this activity helps you identify emotional allergies—those moments when your reaction to someone or something is actually about past unresolved pain.

You'll explore:
    • What emotional allergy is being triggered?
    • Who or what does this remind you of?
    • What behavior do you default to?
    • What grace or truth did your younger self need?
Healing the Ledger helps connect your current emotional reactivity to deeper emotional history—so you can begin to release it.
✔️ Provided as a printable workbook exercise
✔️ Guided in both coaching and course format

🧠 Who This Phase is For
  • You feel blocked or emotionally overwhelmed
  • You notice recurring patterns of hurt or shutdown
  • You struggle with guilt, anger, grief, or confusion in your walk with God
  • You want to understand why you're stuck, not just keep pushing forward
  • You're ready to be honest about what's behind the wall
📖 Scripture Focus

“Pour out your heart before Him; God is a refuge for us.” —Psalm 62:8

“Even darkness is not dark to You…” —Psalm 139:12

🙏 Closing Invitation
This is the phase where we tell the truth about our pain.

And that truth doesn’t disqualify you—it’s the doorway to freedom. You’re not broken beyond repair.

You’re just carrying weight you were never meant to bear alone.

Let’s map the wall together. And then, let’s walk through it.
